Our top-of-the-line Nicasio, the Marin Nicasio 2 steps up to a Series 2 double-butted CrMo frame and a full carbon fiber fork. There’s also a Shimano Tiagra 2x10 speed drivetrain, powerful in all conditions Shimano hydraulic brakes and fast, grippy WTB tires in 700x37. Unlike the other bikes in the Nicasio family, the 2 comes with stiff and sturdy 12mm thru-axle dropouts.

Beyond Road Geometry offers a blend of endurance road handling with enhanced stability for off pavement use.
STEEL FRAME CONSTRUCTION
The Nicasio uses a Series 2 or Series 1 butted 4130 CrMo frame with disc brakes, full fender and rack mounts, and two to three bottle bosses.

Reviews
With the Nicasio 2, what you get is a refreshingly solid package that (mostly) nails the fundamentals and doesn’t even really try to do much more, all at a reasonable price. It’s function over form in all the good ways, and ultimately, it’s hard to find a whole lot of fault with that.
